Shower Seals

Everyone knows the saying that bathrooms and kitchens sell houses, they are the two areas of the house that need to be functional and visually appealing, and this is true whether you’re selling or not. Unfortunately, no matter how often you clean your shower or spray it with antimould products, you will end up with unsightly black or pink mould spots in your sealant and shower door seals. These marks are all but impossible to remove and indicate that it is time to replace these seals and sealant.

Not only is mould unsightly, but mould exposure has also been linked to a wide range of health conditions including respiratory and immune problems. This is not something that anyone wants to expose themselves, or anyone living in their home to.

Replacing shower glass seals and sealants every two years (rule of thumb) is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to clean and freshen up your bathroom and remove mould spores. We also recommend doing this before marketing any home for sale or rent, to maximise your return.

It’s also worth noting that shower glass seals and sealants are the most likely culprit when it comes to leaking showers. When seals do their job properly, they create a bond that is impenetrable to water, as they age and get brittle this bond becomes weaker, possibly resulting in expensive water damage to your bathroom that is easily avoidable.

Our team of professionals will ensure that you get the best result in your bathroom, in the minimum amount of time and with the least amount of mess. We use proven products and we stand behind our workmanship.  We can come to your home, replace your worn shower seals and sealant with hygienic, fresh seals and leave you with a bathroom that you will love!

Shower Rails

It may be that your shower rollers and rails aren’t as smooth as they could be. If there are any dings, divots or splits in either piece of hardware. it can feel like a train with square wheels, bumping and wobbling when you use them and making an awful sound.

Shower rails and rollers are easily replaced by the Shower Doctor, you can decide to replace like-for-like and keep the look of your shower the same, or to upgrade to a new type of fitting, changing the appearance of your shower. This is a simple and easy way of improving the look of your shower, revitalising and refreshing it and we recommend doing this before selling or renting any property to get the best price.

Shower Rails

If you want to cosmetically change the look and feel of your bathroom you might want to consider replacing your shower rails and rollers. These hardware items can wear, buckle and mark, especially in areas with hard water or if they have a custom finish such as a matt finish or black colour, as this finish can wear away over time.

Resealing and Replacing Leaky Shower Trays

If you have noticed that the sealant around your shower tray and liner is flaking, opaque or uneven, or you have black or pink mould in your sealant that you can't remove, no matter how many cleaning or mould removal products you use then you need to replace your sealant. Whilst many sealants are designed to last longer, in warm and damp areas of the home, such as your bathroom, the sealant is unlikely to last longer than two years which is how often we recommend full removal of all old sealant and replacement with fresh, hygienic sealant. This is a relatively inexpensive way to freshen up and rejuvenate a tired bathroom and we highly recommend doing this before selling or letting a property, to maximise its appeal and value.
